![]() This tart-yet-sweet flavor reminded our tasters of limeade more than lemonade. For tequila lovers looking to dip their toes in the boozy ice pop scene, this is the place to start. The strawberry and guava flavors come through, but they are slightly subdued by the strong agave flavor. Though only 5 percent ABV, this was one of the booziest-tasting in the bunch. When it sits out, it retains its flavor without becoming overly watery, so it will have you going back for more - even after it melts. Truly Lemonade Freeze Pops MangoĪnother new offering from Truly, this pop has a great balance of lemon and mango flavors, plus a crunchy texture right out of the freezer. ![]() The aftertaste is a bit artificial, but for those looking to satisfy their childhood candy cravings, it’s a sound option. The texture is exactly what we look for in a freeze pop, with a balanced consistency and solid (if temporary) crunch factor. Sweetness cuts the booze, though at 6 percent ABV, the alcohol is still slightly detectable. This wine-based popsicle tastes like a movie theater slushy. It has an agave spirit base and, though the panel could hardly taste any notes of agave, it is as refreshing as our favorite frozen Margs. With a fresh mango flavor, this ice pop from SLIQ Spirited Ice stood out to the tasting panel - especially those who shy away from the overly sweet slushies out there. With flavors ranging from sweetly nostalgic to boozy and elevated, these are the best spiked ice pops to cool off with this summer. While citrus flavors generally impressed us most with their bright, refreshing tastes, many of the tropical offerings were sleeper hits, ready to be taken along on any adventure this season. And as fast as hard seltzer brands emerged, popular brands like Truly and Bud Light Seltzer are already releasing their own lines of hard seltzer ice pops. The category - though still growing - is already vast, with bases ranging from wine and beer, to rum, agave spirit, and vodka. That category is boozy ice pops, and it’s about to take over the world as a freezer, cooler, and picnic-basket staple. Frozen drinks are, of course, a warm weather go-to, but when it comes to easily transportable concoctions, there’s an emerging category that makes cooling off on the move easier than ever. This summer, after a long stint of being stuck indoors and drinking homemade cocktails on our couches, drinks lovers are taking every chance they can to get out in the sun and imbibe on the go. In Take It Outside, we’re exploring our favorite local spots and far-flung destinations that make summer the ultimate season for elevated drinking. But if you order from sites like Drizly, you may be able to get them if you're in a state I haven't just listed. This month, we’re heading outdoors with the best drinks for the backyard, beach, and beyond. And while they are expected to hit shelves by the end of June (and be available throughout the entirety of the summer!), the limited-edition gluten-free pops will only be available in select states including California, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Arkansas, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Tennessee, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, and New York. Truly Lemonade Freeze Pops come in a 12-pack variety with each pop being 100-milliliters in size. ![]() They will, however, still have the same 5 percent ABV amount as the popular cans, which means you won't lose the ability to get just as tipsy. Unlike the variety pack, though, the pops do not include the Black Cherry Lemonade flavor and only have 80 calories per pop. Though the brand has already released a boozy version of ice cream, customizable 12-packs of hard seltzer, and-most recently-a line of "punch"-centric flavors, they've now taken two things that truly scream summer (lemonade and freeze pops!) and put them together for a true treat that anyone (21 and up, of course) can enjoy.Īvailable for a limited time only, the Truly Lemonade Freeze Pops come in three delicious flavors-Strawberry Lemonade, Mango Lemonade, and Original Lemonade-that are based on the Truly Lemonade Variety Pack that was released in 2020. If I've said it before, I'll say again: This year is really going to give us the Summer of Hard Seltzer! So, if you haven't gotten on board yet with any of the other brands, Truly's new boozy lemonade pops just might be the thing to reel you in.
